International Nurses' Day

International Nurses' Day

Tuesday 12th May

This week it is International Nurses' Day on Tuesday.  It is, perhaps, a date that will be recognised more now than ever in the current situation.  The date is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, one of the most famous nurses in history and a chance to learn about her and other famous nurses such as Mary Seacole.  We are all very grateful for the work that nurses and other healthcare workers do so it seems appropriate to find out more about the NHS too.  Use the documents and power points below to find out more information.  Perhaps you would like to collate the information you find out into your own mini project and work on this across the week.  You could make a fact file or poster to show what you have learnt.  Perhaps you know someone who works in the healthcare sector that you would like to send one of the cards to as a thank you.  One or two of the files are slightly easier but still hold important information that will help you across your work.
