National Children's Art Week
This week we are focussing on art and, in particular, finding out more about an artist of your choice. There are activities that you can access (if you haven't already done so), on the Creative/Fun page, as well as some other ideas on the links below. (Please note that you do not need to upload your work onto the platform).
Why not choose an artist to find out more about? Perhaps you like a particular artist already that you can research. Ideas for artists to focus on are Piet Mondrian, Claude Monet, William Morris, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Georges Seurat, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Barbara Hepworth, Jackson Pollack, Antony Gormley or Bridget Riley. What style did they work in?
To get you started, there is a Purple Mash 2Do about Piet Mondrian, where you can find out more about him and his style of art. After you have chosen an artist, why not try painting or drawing in the style of your chosen artist? Or pick an artist for each day and try recreating one of their masterpieces. Remember - you can send any photos of the art work you create in to me and I will pop it in the gallery. Have fun!
