“Hand in hand with God,we live love and learn together.”
“By God’s grace, we learn to loveand love to learn.”
Welcome back! This half term we are going to concentrate on the church and its community. We are lucky that the two overlap with our school life here at Antrobus in so many ways. The children already know a lot about the features of a church and their purpose, which we will be consolidating, but also looking at the people integral to the church, how they are important to the church and why the church is so important to them. We hope to visit Antrobus St. Mark's and 'interview' some of our church community, asking, amongst other things, about the sense of belonging a community gives.
This half term we will be taking a first look at the Kingdom of God. We will be hot seating the role of a king or queen and asking how they would rule their kingdom. We will go on to look at the parable of the Mustard Seed and ask what Jesus was trying to say through this story.
Our RE focus this half term is:
How does the Bible show Jesus' life as good news?
See below for our class RE area and some of the work we have completed in class.
