“Hand in hand with God,we live love and learn together.”

“By God’s grace, we learn to loveand love to learn.”

In Class 1 we have a 2 year cycle of RE topics that we cover through a series of stories sent to class by our weekly 'Puddles the cat'. Puddles (seen above) features in the majority of the stories that we cover which makes it more personal and exciting for the children, adding a fun twist on traditional Christian Bible stories. There are a wide range of topics that we cover including some Muslim stories so that the children receive a wide introduction to religious education before they move into Class 2.

Miss Crowson will lead the RE sessions on Thursday mornings in Class 1 between 10-11:30am.

This year the children started with a cultural differences topic based on the book 'Handa's Surprise', they then moved onto 'Whats in the egg little Pip?' and the Christmas Story. In January the focus in RE will turn to that of the Church and the role it plays in our school life. We will visit the church and understand what the different furniture and areas of the church are used for. We will also hope to attend one of the Church breakfast which occur each month alongside members of the public from the village.
