At Great Budworth C of E Primary School we follow the curriculum from Questful R.E.

Summer Term

'What do Christians believe happened at Ascension and Pentacost?'

Within this unit of work we will

• begin to develop the children knowledge and understanding of these two very significant events
• give children an opportunity to begin to explore the concept of God as three in one
• emphasize the importance of these events in the life of Jesus and the Church, then and now.

To start this unit of work the children listened to the ascension story and studied artwork depicting the events that took place. They considered what Christians might feel is the most important part of the story.
