Visit to St Mary's and All Saints Church, Great Budworth

                  We enjoyed visiting our school church.

We looked for different features that show this is a Christian church and thought about reasons why people go to church.

Spring 1 - Kingdom of God

We will think about what the visit of the magi tells Christians about Jesus and why Jesus is considered a King by Christians. We will then look in detail at the the meaning of the Lord's Prayer and what it says about the Kingdom of God.

We will learn about different parables and how Jesus used these to teach about the Kingdom of God

Autumn 2 - Christian Community

This half term we will be thinking about how we know when someone belongs to a Christian Community and how Christian communities are different.                                                                                  

Autumn 1 - Good News

We will begin this theme by listening to some good news stories that Jesus told, key questions include:

• How does the Bible show Jesus living his life as good news?
• How do you know when you feel better inside or outside?
• How do stories of Jesus encourage his disciples to live as good news?
